"Savior Complex"

Magog, who's been haunting the world Earth Prime (Arrowverse) for the past several months, comes to Central City in the year 2049 to exact his revenge on the world's heroes. Impulse (Bart Allen) and his sister XS (Nora Allen) the Super Speedster kids of Barry and Iris Allen are the only two standing in the way of this dimension hopping villain. Supergirl and the other heroes are fighting Magog when they all disappear in a puff of green smoke. They go to Smallville to elicit the help of Clark Kent (Superman) but he seems to think they can handle it on their own. With a little advice he gives them the courage to fight Magog and his cadre of villains, not to mention a hypnotized populace. As the two fight, the heroes reappear thanks to The Specter (Oliver Queen?) and they take down the villains together. All the villains seem to be accounted for except Evil Superman. They all feel they'll be seeing him again in the future.

3Story - 3: While the ending of this story arc, which started in "Earth Prime #1," is action packed, the reader is thrown into a story that's been months in the making. I suppose reading the other issues would help. But while I read the "Superman & Lois" book as well as "Legends of Tomorrow" and "The Flash" ones, other then some introductions it doesn't seem to fill the gap. The Legends book I read only for preparation for this review and it was almost incomprehensible. I suppose if I watched the show I'd understand more. It also doesn't explain why Clark isn't Superman and is reluctant to help. The whole book seems to be a test for Impulse and XS (which they pass). It also ends on a cliffhanger wondering if Evil Superman will return. Considering most of the Arroverse shows have been canceled I wonder if these characters will return in comic book form? Also there's a backup with Cisco and Phantom Girl which ends in a cliffhanger to be continued in "The Flash" next season. With all that, there is plenty of action and it's fun to read these characters in a comic book world.

4Art - 4: I'm not really familiar with Kim Jacinto but the art, while very busy, does capture the characters well and helps tell the story.

2Cover Art - 2: Nothing special here, just an ominous picture of Magog on a throne. It's drawn well but not as eye catching as it could be.
