Two groups of Legionnaires are investigating Aquaman's trident. Saturn Girl, Chameleon Boy and others are on Planet Gotham to interrogate Mordru while Ultra Boy's squad goes to Rimbor on a diplomatic mission to talk to his father. However, they are forced to defend themselves and arrest the warrior king. Meanwhile in the midst of trying to question Mordru, Saturn Girl's group is forced to return to the Legion's headquarters. Jon Kent still hasn't seen the orientation presentation, and he has brought Damien Wayne to the future, forcing the Legion to return him to the past and erase his memories of his time travel. They also seem to know something of the current Robin's horrible future. Could Damien become a murderous dictator, or can Jon Kent be a positive influence on the Boy Wonder?

The General King of Rimbor has been defeated by Mon-El twice. He is currently in a prison cell at the Legion headquarters. Yet, the superheroes of the future have no time to relax. Alarms are going off left and right. Aquaman's trident has been stolen right out from under the Legion's collective nose.

5Story - 5: Could someone tell Bendis to get rid of the parenthetical expressions in his comic stories? They were irritating in New Avengers, and their irritating now. They are unnecessary and horrible in comics in my opinion.

Okay, now that I got that off my chest, let's look at this issue's story. It does have maybe slightly too much for one issue. However, that doesn't make it any less of a great read as previous chapters in this current series. The whole Trident investigation and Superboy's taking Robin to the future made for an entertaining book. Plus, Bendis put some plot threads in the middle that made me more curious about where he's going with the Legion. With Scott Snyder winding down the "Justice/Doom War" on Justice League, it's good to know DC is willing to give another team such a great comic reading experience.

5Art - 5: There are times when the art reminds me of Mike Allred in the pages not drawn by Sook. Both he and Moore have done this book justice by making it have the look and atmosphere of many of the best Legion stories of yore.

4Cover Art - 4: I still have a problem with the logo and issue number size on this series. They hamper what is a beautifully drawn image.

5Variant Cover Art - 5: This is what I meant when I reviewed Cheung's Justice League covers. This is a Cheung at his best.
