The Justice League is being controlled by the Spectre, who has been separated from Jim Corrigan. This is not without its consequences as the League learns after being freed by Wonder Woman's lasso. Corrigan was tired of spilling blood in God's name. Now, as he is in Tartarus, the Spectre Superman and his allies as a conduit. This could prove to cause chaos among Earth's Greatest Heroes.

The Justice League must go to Tartarus to make things right. Yet, they must take on Amazons who guard it to do so. Will the Justice League be able to convince the Amazons and Jim Corrigan to help them? Is there any way to stop the Spectre from wreaking more violent vengeance?

5Story - 5: Superman is my favorite DC Comics character. Yet, one character I felt was severely underused is another co-created by Jerry Siegel - The Spectre. This story has been a treat to read just seeing him on the same page with Superman. The story is also quite entertaining and seems heavily influenced by the Timmverse. I miss Scott Snyder's sagas greatly. However, Robert Venditti is doing an equally excellent job writing this title. I will continue to recommend this book to anyone who likes to read fun comics.

4Art - 4: It is a bit off in certain panels, perhaps due to deadlines, and I had hoped Xermanico would be the artist for this issue. In spite of all that, we still have some good visuals this time around.

5Cover Art - 5: The blurb was kind of unnecessary, but, putting that aside. This is a beautifully drawn main cover.

5Variant Cover Art - 5: The artwork is beautiful, but there's something dark about its atmosphere. This is perfect for the direction this issue has taken.
