The forces of Justice and Doom are planning their next moves as it looks as if the Justice League and its allies cannot win the war against Perpetua, who has ordered the Anti-Monitor to kill Hawkgirl and Shayne They are trapped in the Promethean Galaxy. With communications systems in their ship no longer functioning, there may be no way for Hawkgirl and Shayne to contact the Justice League and no hope for rescue.

Apex Lex Luthor and the Legion of Doom have launched a full all-out assault on the Hall of Justice. What they didn't take into account is that it is made of an alien material called the Floating Stone. Batman is flying the entire building on a collision course with Lex's ship.

5Story - 5: Whereas Marvel seems more focused on film and television, (though Immortal Hulk has been a great read so far). DC seems intent on giving comic book readers books that, for the most part, have been entertaining over the past couple of years or so. Between this title and the main Superman books under Bendis, it's no wonder we're getting such fantastically written comics lately.

This issue, while containing another long speech by Batman, (for a guy so intent on using shadows and stealth, he tends to talk a lot in this series), sums up the events in previous issues while continuing to move the plot forward in a clear, concise way. Granted, it's done so for trade and hard cover markets, but it still manages to be a fun comic that feels almost as epic as Crisis or even The Death of Superman. Calm down, folks. I said "Almost"! Just read it already. You'll get what I mean.

5Art - 5: The change in art styles doesn't distract at all from the overall flow of the story. It helps that I enjoy both artists' styles.

5Cover Art - 5: The shape of things to come for this title? Time will tell, but the cover is amazing.

5Variant Cover Art - 5: The Legion of Doom take center stage in this awesome variant from an awesome artist.
