With Young Justice joining the Justice League in their battle to defend Metropolis against the Legion of Doom, Superman has an edge that Lex Luthor and Leviathan had not counted on. Conner Kent has taken care of the Legion's headquarters, literally kicking it into the ocean. Yet, the villains have captured Superman. The League manages to free him in time for his full one-on-one combat with Luthor. In the meantime we learn that Lex is playing right into Leviathan's hands. He and his city Leviathan float over Metropolis and the world he intends to change.

5Story - 5: Okay, I admit I miss the likes of Dan Jurgens and Jeph Loeb. However, Bendis is doing as well as those two had done during their respective runs on the comics. This feels like an event comic without being an event. Bendis is playing in the sandbox with all the toys he can put into it, and the results, at least for me, are very satisfying.

4Art - 4: As much as I love John Romita Junior's art, I'm not sure he's right for Superman's sector of the DC Universe. Much of this issue is well drawn, but at the same time, some parts look off or seem rushed. Perhaps Romita would be better suited on Batman.

3Cover Art - 3: This feels like too much was crammed into the image. Plus, the dialogue balloon is unnecessary. Still, this cover isn't too bad.

5Variant Cover Art - 5: The variants in this series, including this one, have been better than the main covers lately. Hopefully, the artists on them will do interior art of this book sometime.
