As the events of "Superman: Doomed" go on around her, Kara Zor-El falls to earth. Michael, a young man in a wheelchair whose parents are trapped in Metropolis, shields her from Earth's Kryptonite atmosphere by taking her to a bunker. Supergirl then goes to Metropolis to aid in rescue efforts while Wonder Woman battles Brainiac's latest soldier, Lois Lane. After Batman's team removes Kryptonite from the air, the Maid of Might finds Michael's parents and alerts him that doctors assured her that they will recover. Michael and Kara kiss and begin to bond more, but the Lost Daughter of Krypton's happiness is short-lived. Brainiac is using every brain on the planet for power, and the Cyborg Superman is about to encounter Supergirl once again. Earth's fate will be decided in the remaining chapters of "Superman: Doomed" as DC's heroes are at "Future's End".

3Story - 3: Quite frankly, this one was a difficult one to rate. It's a decent story, and I do hope we see more of the Michael character. However, this issue is not as good as what Tony Bedard has done. I expected Kara to be more active in "Superman: Doomed" in this chapter. Sure, what she was doing was important, but I felt like she was merely in the background for the entire book. In spite of this, the comic was worth reading, and I still have faith that this title will continue to be great.

2Art - 2: The art would work great for a comic based on the Bruce Timm animated series released some years ago, but it fails to capture the New 52 Universe.

5Cover Art - 5: The cover is the saving grace of this issue. It does give buyers a false hope that Kara is more active in "Superman: Doomed". Yet, it's beautifully drawn.
