Joker is inconsolable.

Today is his anniversary, his first appearance as the Clown Prince of Crime and Batman has forgotten. Harley can't seem to cheer up this frowning clown. How dare Batman forget his most dangerous and formidable adversary?!

Joker and Harley decide if Batman is too busy on an intergalactic mission with Superman and Wonder Woman then he won't stay in moping - instead they promptly steal a shuttle and decide to party on in JLU headquarters.

On duty is Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Elongated Man and Crimson Avenger are on the lounge watching a movie when Joker and Harley crash in.

Joker and Harley decide to decorate for a big party-face off for Batman's return and proceed to trash the satellite in their own inimitable way.

Of course they are underestimated by the quad of Leaguers on board. How would it even be possible for these two slapstick comedy villains to cause problems for the Dark Knight or the rest of the League?

Well naturally the lesson is quickly learned and the devious duo are captured.

Almost immediately the Javelin 7 unloads Batman and several of his teammates and they award him a gift for his anniversary...

...his two greatest villains!

5Story - 5: Okay in terms of story this was arguably the thinnest ever so far, but where it excels is allowing Joker and Harley to do what they do best and boy do they do it here.

Joker breaks into Batman's quarters and instead of delving into his secret identity or plotting some serious revenge, he steals a cape and runs around the satellite cavorting around in black! What a riot!

The face off between Crimson Avenger and Harley was inspired cartoon hilarity at its best. This issue was silly enough to be Looney Tunes but dark enough to be an all out JLU episode. All the hilarious hijinks are double sweet when we see the League return. All hail continuity! Kara In-Zee is in her new costume! I am loving the fact they stay so faithful to the show.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The next three issues are untold "Justice League" Season One episodes, featuring only the original seven. Also for Aquaman fans he's about to get his own animated book.

5Art - 5: Comedic from start to finish!

From the poisoned astronaut to the rubber chickens, to the giant cake to being 'bow tied' this was a feast for the eyes.

5Cover Art - 5: This time around the cover is top notch.

Fantastic to see a villain take centre stage for once!

Shame the original seven aren't around but hey next month I'm sure will be hot stuff!
