The 2025 Cincinnati Comic Expo is set to make comic book history with an exclusive variant cover that reimagines the city’s iconic Union Terminal as Superman’s legendary Hall of Justice.
In collaboration with One Stop Comic Shop and artist Jeffrey Edwards, the expo has created a limited-edition variant cover for “Superman Unlimited #5” that showcases the Cincinnati Museum Center’s stunning Art Deco architecture as the backdrop for the Man of Steel and Supergirl.
Artist’s Vision Comes to Life
Edwards, a lifelong Superman fan, spent considerable time researching the Cincinnati landmark to capture its architectural details perfectly. “I had to learn more about the Cincinnati Union Terminal!” he explained, diving into online photos, travel blogs, and 3D models to ensure accuracy.
The final artwork depicts a bright summer day with Superman and Supergirl poised to embark on their next mission from what appears to be their headquarters. “I wanted to give the impression that no matter what mission he has undertaken in this moment, he and Supergirl are going to head out of the Hall of Justice,” Edwards said.
Limited Availability and Pricing
With only 1,000 copies in the print run, this collector’s item will retail for US$25. Fans can pre-order through the Cincinnati Comic Expo’s sales site, with all copies requiring pickup at the event itself – no shipping will be available.
Edwards will be present at the expo to sign copies at no additional charge, and One Stop Comic Shop will offer CGC grading services for those seeking certified collectibles.
The exclusive “Superman Unlimited #5” variant will be available at both the Cincinnati Comic Expo Merch Booth and One Stop Comic Shop’s booth during next month’s event.
