Casting Changes for Season 4 of “Supergirl”

The CW has announced that there will be a number of changes when it comes to the cast of “Supergirl” for Season 4.

Jesse Rath, who was introduced in Season 3 in the role of Brainiac-5, will see his role expanded in Season 4 when he becomes a series regular.

“We love the character of Brainiac-5 and can’t imagine anyone but Jesse Rath in the role,” executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller said in a statement. “He brings such fun, heart and brilliance to Brainy, and we’re so excited he’s joining the cast as a series regular for season 4.  We have a lot of great Brainy stories to tell.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy Jordan, who has played the role of Winn Schott since the beginning of the series, will only return for Season 4 in a recurring role rather than a series regular.

“We love Jeremy, and even though he’s [not going to be around full-time], we’re not saying goodbye to Winn at all,” executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller told TVLine. “We’re already breaking big stories for him right now for the fall, and I think the fans will be excited to see what he has coming up.”

The Season 3 finale of “Supergirl” is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Monday, June 18 at 8.00pm ET/PT.
