Casting Call for Roles in “Superman and Lois” TV Series (Updated)

Rapaport Casting has issued an Open Casting Call for two roles required for the upcoming “Superman & Lois” TV series.

The announcement was issued over the weekend that Warner Bros./CW Network were seeking young teen actors to audition for series regular roles in the upcoming pilot.

The two roles are described as:

[MATTHEW] – Male, 13 to 16-years old to play 14-year old Caucasian, well on his way to becoming a physical specimen. Clean cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated. A three-sport athlete who’s already garnering attention from college and pro scouts.

[ETHAN] – Male, 13 to 16-years old to play 14-year old Caucasian, a young Leonardo DiCaprio who has an inherent darkness to him. Ethan’s wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, he spends most of his free time playing video games.

Actors wanting to be considered for the roles are encouraged to upload their submission video to CastItTalent.com no later than Wednesday, December 11 by 9.00am PST.

“Superman and Lois” will reportedly focus on the pressures Lois and Clark face in balancing their professional lives, superhero responsibilities, and the complexities of raising a child. That child will be introduced in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, a twist that also explains why the couple have been spending so much time off-world in recent seasons of “Supergirl”.

Produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, “Superman & Lois” is being written and executive produced by Todd Helbing, former showrunner of “The Flash”. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns will also executive produce the series.

Love the stereotypes, very open-mined. Also, why the Clark/Lex dynamic? How do teenagers fit the premise of this show? I have so many questions and I’m afraid of the answers.

Because it wouldn’t be a CW show without the useless flashbacks.

Maybe they are casting Jon Kent and Damien Wayne.

That would be cool – but I’m pretty sure it’ll turn out to be young Clark and Lex in flashbacks.

Because the CW has made it plain and clear what they do with these characters on a weekly series. The last thing needed is The Adventures of Domesticated Superman. That’s why I for one, don’t want him any where near a weekly TV series.

Definitely sounds like Damien and Jon Kent, although the darker teen will most likely be a stand in for Damien not Damien himself. I’ve had the premonition for a while that once the crisis is over, the World will reset itself with a couple of changes. One of them being an aged up Jon. Baby Jon would be cool but nobody wants to see Superman flying around carrying a baby while fighting crime lol. The only way they’ll differentiate this show from all the others including Supergirl will be to add an aged up Jon which can then become Superboy… Read more »

You make some good points, and the Supersons would fill the hour long show better in my opinion then all the different relationship stuff the other CW shows kinda suffer from. Although by the time this show airs Bendis will have Jon turning 98 years old by then…lol

Why’d you change Jon Bendis? Why???

I know Bendis probably won’t answer that question, but I just thought I’d ask.

I think a show in the vein of Superman Rebirth/Reborn is probably what they are going for.
