UPDATE: Brief Synopsis Released for “Superman: Legacy” Movie

Superman: Legacy

A logline for the upcoming movie “Superman: Legacy” has been posted on the Production Weekly website, with the movie scheduled to start filming on March 4, 2024.

The logline reads, “Superman, a cub reporter in Metropolis, embarks on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.”

As previously reported, the feature film’s production office is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

UPDATE: James Gunn has noted that the logline is not an officially release synopsis, stating that the “cub reporter” element is incorrect. “I wouldn’t describe the plot this way, and I wouldn’t call Clark a cub reporter. He’s a thirty-year-old full-on reporter.”

The cast of “Superman: Legacy” features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

Directed by James Gunn, “Superman: Legacy” is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
