It’s amazing that SR is 12 years old! Supermanhomepage was a lot different back then and SR was by a lot of people, raked over the coals. After waiting all those years for a Superman movie, the end result was going right back to the Donner days and try and recreate a similar atmosphere by paralleling much of SR to STM. As much as I’m on board moving forward, I will always stand by that SR should have had a sequel. But the bottom lines was it didn’t make the money they had anticipated and coupled with all the negative… Read more »

I do agree with you that they should’ve made a sequel. Maybe they can bring this version back on Supergirl, the flash, or legends of tomorrow. There is the multiverse that they incorporated in the plot of some of the episodes of their shows. I would totally be in for seeing that. There is also the possibility that Routh could play Superman on Supergirl. They did recast Kara’s mom, and even though I like Hoechlin as Superman, I would not complain if they replaced him with Routh. I’m going to get mileage out of this story for as long as I live: I met Brandon Routh at a Con in Portland, Or last year, and in the minute or so we were together, he was very nice and polite and respectful. But he is not as tall as has been advertised. I stand 6’2″ in shoes, and was maybe an inch taller than he was. For the photo we took, he puts his arm around my shoulder, and not rudely or forcefully, but firmly, pushes me down so that in the picture I’m hunched over and look… Read more »

Maybe he was trying to be funny? I’m just trying understand why he’d do that. Maybe it’s his sense of humor. I haven’t met him, so I’m just guessing. It’s cool that you met him. I hope to meet him one day. I met Dean Cain. He is a really cool nice guy. I had my photo taken with him. It was awesome.

I don’t think he was trying to be rude or funny, he possibly wasn’t even thinking about it consciously. Like I said, he was nice and pleasant. I consider it $40 well spent. But I’m still going to get a lot of mileage out of it.

When I see him in Legends he sure sure looks bigger than the rest of the cast. Maybe that’s the one thing that draws me to his likeness as Superman. But that’s Hollywood for you. Making fake things look real or taller!
