Bendis Promises Lois and Jon Will Return to Both “Action Comics” and “Superman”

As Brian Michael Bendis starts his run on both “Action Comics” and “Superman” this month, fans are concerned that the writer may be removing Superman’s wife and son from the picture.

With Lois and Jon currently on an intergalactic journey with Jor-El, Superman finds himself isolated from his family, with no clear idea when they’ll be back in his life.

However, Bendis explains via a tweet in response to a fan’s concerns, Lois and Jon will both be returning… in a “big bold story” that will play out in both “Action Comics” and “Superman” titles.

Bendis’ first issue of “Superman” is out this Wednesday, July 11.

Return? They never left! They appeared in every issue of “The Man of Steel”, and both are due back in Action Comics 1001 and Superman 1. What is all of the moaning about?

When the family comes back so will I. Lois and Jon are a big part of the story, and now they’re in a galaxy far far away. That makes no sense to me. Now there’s no Super Sons, and Lois didn’t get to go to Batman and Catwoman’s wedding after that nice Lois/Catwoman set-up a few months back. So far I’m not a fan of what Bendis has cooked up.

“A Bold new story”, huh?
I hope it aint the one where Jon is apparently aged up to a teenager, otherwise that just misses out on a whole lot of development/character for Jon.

I still want to see a 6-issue mini-series with Lois, Jon, and Jor-El skipping about the galaxy.
