Behind-the-Scenes “Justice League” Photo of Henry Cavill as Superman

A new behind-the-scenes photo of Henry Cavill as Superman from the “Justice League” movie has been posted online.

The photo posted on Reddit was taken during the filming of the deleted scene in which Superman, having returned from the dead, visits Alfred in the Batcave.

“He said you’d come”, says Alfred. “Now let’s hope you’re not too late.”

It may not be new news but at least it’s something! Still want to see ZS’ers version. If for nothing else just to see how much better the handling of Superman’s return was.

It’s a shame he never got another shot. I would have loved to have seen Henry have another go at the character, to actually play Superman. I feel like he never really played Superman, he played and confused and reluctant Clark Kent trying to come to terms with who he should be. I guess maybe he was finally was in JL, if you count that mess of a film.
But who knows how long it will be before we even know when the next Superman movie will be, let alone who plays him.

I don’t know ClarkJo. It’s been pretty quiet regarding anything coming from or out of the WB headquarters. I think it has a great deal to do with the AT&T merger. A lot of time when these business deals take place there ends up being a lot of top management changes. You can bet that a complete company audit has taken place and how much of AT&T will change things around has yet to be determined. There was a LOT of money involved with this acquisition. But the bottom line is we haven’t heard anything regarding up and coming movies.… Read more »

… why are you doing this to me? You KNOW I want to see him in the suit again… and as far away from Zak Snyder as possible.

I never found ZS’ers work as you did. But I’ll take his Superman any day before I would want to see Superman moved into say, Marvel territory.

The point with Marvel (i suppose you refer to thir cinematic universe) is that in fact, Marvel moved into DC’s territory. That lighter approach to their characters is what DC has been doing always. It’s what we normally see in their comics. Moving to “MCU” isnt’t really moving. It’s to go back to their roots. Roots they should never have left.
If someone prefers darker and edgier characters, there is Marvel. The real Marvel not their MCU.

Let me clarify. When I said Marvel territory I’m referring to say… the recent Spiderman. Described as a fun, funny, teen movie. I find a vast amount of Marvels stuff goes in that direction. And NO..I don’t hate Marvel movies!!

Yes, I also think that some of their movies are aimed too much towards teen viewers. And that’s too far from the idea I have with DC. I understand Shazam having that treatment, But your’re right too many Marvel movies go that route. I was speaking more in general tone and of course about script. A movie can be funny withouy entering Teletubbies territory.

Sigh… Henry’s moved on. He looks awesome as the Witcher by the way. But I’m going to move on too even though I’d love nothing more than a new film, it just doesn’t seem in the cards.
