Fans in the USA can spend their holiday weekend sitting down in front of the TV, where HBO Max has swapped out the theatrical edition of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” with the full 3-hour Ultimate Edition of the movie.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition” featured an extended cut of the film which included 30 more minutes of story and action not seen in theaters.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Ultimate Edition was released as a 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray Combo Pack.
I would think we’ve all seen the Ultimate Cut. At first I thought he was going to add to that version. But not so. Just replacing the theatrical version with it.
I’m glad they put what amounts to the real version of the movie on there. It was just strange that they only had the spliced one.
I mean, it is considered the better version, but other than Snyder fans who really asked for it? They should have just had both from the start tbh, but the service is and was a mess, especially when it comes to distribution rights for films. But how many people were like “Ya know, I’d subscribe to HBOmax if they had the UE of BvS.” Like I said, it’s considered the better version, so they might as well have it.
