What is the obsession with Superman characters dressed in blue jeans? The costumes are part of the super hero appeal. Putting the characters in jeans is just…boring.
Superman #4 was SO good! Just phenomenal. Can’t wait for next issue!
As for jeans.. I think it kinda works for Superboy, especially this characterization. As he gets older, I’m sure that’ll change, but I think it’s pretty fitting right now.
I think the problem with the look is that it’s neither fish nor fowl. Not a complete superhero costume but not going all-in on the super-casual look either.
I am really enjoying all the Superman comics since Rebirth. I can honestly say that I haven’t been this excited about the comics for a while now. I’ve been a little dissapointed ever since Superman grounded (you know ever since Superman denounced his American citizenship) the New 52 stuff was ok, and the de-powered Superman for that entire year before Rebirth was just horrible. I’m glad the real Superman is finally back and they are writing him great!
