August 16, 2016: Young Bruce Wayne Wants Clark Kent on “Gotham”

GOTHAM: Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz, R) meets with the Wayne Enterprises board members in the "The Blind Fortune Teller" episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Feb. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2015 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Jessica Miglio/FOX

Actor David Mazouz, who plays young Bruce Wayne on the TV series “Gotham”, told IGN.com that he’d like to see a young Clark Kent appear in an upcoming episode.

David Mazouz: I think it’d be really cool to have a young Clark Kent on the show. To have a 15-year-old Clark Kent. I know in Batman v Superman they played it like Metropolis and Gotham are twin cities, so it wouldn’t be that hard to take a boat ride over for Clark but…

IGN: And Tyler Hoechlin just started playing Superman on Supergirl. Obviously that’s on The CW, a separate universe, but is there any sort of crossover you’d love to do? Look, they have Legends of Tomorrow which is a time jumping show. Maybe they find young Batman at some point.

Mazouz: That’d be amazing. I mean, it might be difficult to work out with the producers and all that kind of stuff, but I would love it. Like I said, as a Batman fan, that would be awesome. … Going back to the Superman, you know, Clark Kent as a teenager saves a busload of kids from drowning, right? It would just be really cool to just start a scene in the GCPD and just pan, like start on a newspaper that says, 15-year-old boy in Metropolis saves busload of kids from drowning. And then just pan up and have a regular scene that has nothing to do with the … throw a little hint.

IGN: Easter eggs.

Mazouz: Exactly, Easter eggs. Referring to the fact that Gotham is a part of a larger DC Universe.

I like that idea from David. Kid certainly knows what he wants! I think it could work. We don’t actually have to see Clark. But the fact he is out there is more than enough! And why shouldn’t we have Clark in this universe? I believe we have a Queen’s Industries (or Consolidated) in Gotham. So yeah, let’s be having that Easter Egg!! 😀

Why not just get Tyler in for a cameo? I’d much prefer to see a shared universe and I don’t mind that Batman is younger than Superman.

Smart kid! That would be great.

I’d like it if they did that scene from Jeph Loeb’s Sm/Bm run, where Bruce and Alfred are driving thru Smallville, and Alfred makes Bruce go out the car and play catch with a young Clark and Pete.

I actually think it’s only a matter of time before Gotham joins a shared universe in some form. (time for my weekly multiverse post) The multiverse is going to happen and everything will in some way be connected at some point.

Evidently, David either gets or is unaware that as a boy, Clark is many miles away in Smallville, Kansas. That being said, it wouldn’t be too hard to do cameo as Supreme suggested.

It would be cool to see a younger version of Clark on Gotham – Maybe 10 years old, on vacation with his parents, or on a field trip. I think it would be too hard to merge with the CW universe, as Fox is a totally different Network. CBS is part owner of the CW, which is why they were able to do the Flash/Supergirl crossover last year. Plus Gotham and Supergirl are in direct competition. (But nothing is Impossible)

This is a awesome idea! This, coming from him, as a fan! So, I second the motion!

Better yet how about getting out of the prequelitis entirely and actually having full grown in-suit Batman and Superman?
