
When she sat down for a chat with Nicole Kidman on an episode of “Actors on Actors” for Variety last week, Amy Adams revealed that her time playing Lois Lane in the DC Films cinematic universe was likely over.
“I think I’m out of the DC Universe now.”, she said. “I think they’re revamping that. I don’t know the details.”
However, in a new interview with DenofGeek.com, Adams expands on those comments, explaining that she really doesn’t know for sure whether she’s done or not.
“You know what’s funny? I actually don’t know,” Adams said. “I haven’t had any official conversation with anybody. I was just talking with Nicole Kidman about it, and I was like, ‘Oh, I guess I’ve got to be careful what I say!’ But yeah, I haven’t had any word officially.”
Adams debuted as Lois Lane in “Man of Steel”, before reprising the role in both “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League”.
Her new film, “Vice”, in which she plays the fole of the wife and loyal partner of former US vice president Dick Cheney (played by Christian Bale), is set to be released on December 25.
I’m probably going to get a lot of negative votes on this, so I’m going to just say it. Amy was probably told by her acting agent to say this after what she said last week. Her previous comments might have come off as someone who is not interested in the part anymore. So her agent probably said to her that she needs to say that she’s still interested in the job in order for her to still keep the role provided that they come up with a film for her.
