At their Retailer Only panel at Chicago’s C2E2 convention earlier today, DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan DiDio reported that “Action Comics #1000” has reached orders of a half million copies ahead of its release on April 18.
Additionally, the “DC Nation #0” preview sampler has reached the one million mark, which DiDio claims is the highest selling single issue in his time with the company.
“If we can get one million of these into the hands of fans, that could change everything,” DiDio said.
“DC Nation #0”, a 32-page comic book, will be available at comic book retailers at a cover price of $0.25 and free via digital download. The book spotlights events from three of DC’s top storytellers – Scott Snyder, Tom King and Brian Michael Bendis, all best-selling, celebrated authors, and will land on shelves May 2.

So, 6 people ordered one of each of the variant covers?
Fantastic comment. You have all my respect.
ROTFLMAO!
I had to log in just to like this comment. That’s gold right there!
I will say, though, some pretty awesome covers in there.
Most likely a long shot, but here’s hoping that they reach 1M. Its about time a Superman book broke some records again.
Incidentally, Marvel will most likely solicit some anniversary issue, and report it sold more than Action Comics #1000.
Just passed 1 million according to The Hollywood Reporter 🙂
I think that’s the DC Nation #0 that reached 1 million, not “Action Comics #1000”.
Well here’s hoping that AC
#1000 isn’t too far behind.
DC Nation #0 is only 25 cents, just so you know.
Yes, you are correct. My mistake.
