“Action Comics #1000” Forbidden Planet Exclusive Jock Variant

Artist Jock has revealed his variant cover for the landmark “Action Comics #1000” issue.

With “Action Comics” speeding toward its landmark 1,000th issue on Superman’s 80th anniversary (April 18), it appears as though we will not only see a series of variant covers capturing the look and feel of the Man of Steel throughout different eras of his 80-year run, but certain stores may also have their own exclusive variant covers available in limited numbers.

This variant cover showing Clark Kent ripping open his shirt to reveal the Superman costume beneath, is exclusive to the Forbidden Planet comic book store, and comes in both a regular cover (2,500 limited edition) and a Monochrome version (limited to 1,500 copies).
