A Note to Chrome Web Browser Users

Fans visiting this website using Google Chrome’s latest web browser may begin seeing a warning that the Superman Homepage website is “not secure”.

This is the first part of a staged rollout by Google forcing websites to move from the HTTP protocol to the more secure HTTPS. The more secure measure is used for the most part by web pages that require you to enter in your personal details, credit cards, etc… Google Chrome has now increased that requirement on websites that require passwords. Because the Superman Homepage has a membership log-in feature Google Chrome sees that feature as requiring the HTTPS protocol.

Moving the website over to a HTTPS set-up is no small undertaking, but we are looking into making the change over the next few weeks. In the mean time, please be aware that while Google Chrome may warn you that this website is “not secure”, there’s been no change in what we do or what you’ve been doing for the past few years when visiting this website. This requirement is currently only being forced by Google Chrome, for users of other web browsers it’s business as usual.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Regards,
Steve Younis
