I just don’t want a live action CW Superman TV series. I don’t appreciate the CW superhero shows.
In some respects the weekly tv format feels like a more natural extension of the monthly comic reading experience. I don’t think the CW shows are perfect but I am 100% behind a series starring Tyler’s Superman or at the very least let him be a reoccurring character across the shows.
I see a few options with this: 1. Animated series on CW Seed, much like they’re doing with Vixen (and soon with Constantine), with Hoechlin voicing Superman; 2. A six- or eight-part live-action limited series, airing over the summer; 3. A full weekly series, either on The CW or another network. But not right now, though. Both The CW and Berlanti have a ton on their plate, with five series based on comics (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends, and Riverdale).
