Superman Warns Batman About Magic in “Justice League Dark” Clip

“Justice League Dark” is the next new animated movie from Warner Bros. Animation. While Superman isn’t a main character, he does appear in the movie briefly as seen in the clip below.

When innocent civilians begin committing unthinkable crimes across Metropolis, Gotham City and beyond, Batman must call upon mystical counterparts to eradicate this demonic threat to the planet. Enter Justice League Dark, reluctantly led by the Hellblazer himself, John Constantine. Like Batman, Constantine is a cunning, often cynical loner who is the best at his chosen profession – but quickly realizes the sinister forces plaguing the planet will require help from other supernatural alliances. Forming a new “league” with sorceress Zatanna, otherworldly Deadman, and Jason Blood and his powerful alter ego Etrigan the Demon, this team of Dark Arts specialists must unravel the mystery of Earth’s supernatural plague and contend with the rising, powerful villainous forces behind the siege – before it’s too late for all of mankind.

This all-new clip features the Justice League assessing the situation – and at least one member of the group not quite believing in other-worldly influences. The clip also features the first appearance in a DC Universe Original Movie of John Stewart/Green Lantern as a member of the Justice League.

To battle unparalleled supernatural forces, Batman must combine efforts with a new team of heroes – led by occult specialist John Constantine – in the next DC Universe Original Movie, Justice League Dark. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, the full-length animated film arrives from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Blu-ray/DVD on February 7, 2017, and via Digital HD on January 24, 2017.

I might check this out. I want to see Swamp Thing more than anyone else. I wish he’d get his own solo animated film. But hey, that can’t really happen in the era of Batman-worship. Anyway, this film is looks interesting. I’m looking forward to its release.

Reason to See this movie:
1.) A lot of Superheroes seem to be shown here. Hawkman, Swamp Thing, John Stewart, Martian Manhunter, JLD, etc.

Reasons not to see the movie:
1.) Obvious Batman favouritism, as usual for the new DC animation,
2.) Too many characters. You got the new JL, and the Dark team, and another villain, as well as the established team. JL:War wasn’t good and it just had five. I don’t trust them to do the premise justice.

Think I’m going to pass on this one. Batman is just too much of an ass. Why would be dismiss magic knowing what he does about? Some Detective.

I think I’m gonna pass on this one. None of the roster of “Justice League Dark” hold any interest for me at all.

I love Batman as much as the next guy, but yeah I feel like there should be a rotation of films focusing on different heroes where he is not a part of it. I’d love to see another Wonder Woman movie, green lantern, obviously more Superman and even a solo aquaman adventure. I will say though that these new 52 films haven’t been doing it for me. Everything up to Flashpoint was pretty great though.

A. I’m really tired of over-the-top-violent superhero cartoons.
B. The character designs in this are awful.
C. It’s one thing for Batman to be a dark character, but Batman as a complete ass is getting pretty old. And it’s ridiculous that he would deny magic in a Universe where magic characters exist. You might as well have him denying to Superman that aliens exist.
