The CW has released 21 photos from the 2-part premiere of Season 2 of “Supergirl”.
The photos show Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) alongside his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist), confronting Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), while also interacting with other members of the DEO, and visiting Kara at work at CatCo in his disguise as Clark Kent.
Can’t wait, I just wish they start showing clips from the 2nd season, so far we’ve only see clips from the first season.
They did show a new trailer, which is just of Supergirl taking off to fly in a very Man of Steel-esque fashion. But man was that actually cool.

Loving these pics (especially of the cousins together) but I do hope that whatever the problem is between Clark and “Henshaw” is resolved quickly.
I suspect Superman doesn’t like the fact Kara is working for the DEO.
Remember Jimmy’s line about Cadmus? “It’s the reason Clark doesn’t work for the government.”
Nice pics with Superman costume looking lovely & working well alongside main character. Thoroughly enjoyed Season 1 & will purchase on bluray shortly. If we could have a Superman tv show & leave big screen average films to the side!
It’s nice to see Superman smiling. I’m really hoping this Man of Steel actually plays Superman the way he’s supposed to be.
But I really wish they made the uniform brighter and the cape not attached to the shoulders.
Is it too much to hope for that Clark is less prone to taking Cat’s crap when she’s in Prada mode?
I like these pictures. I’m really looking forward to seeing Superman on the show. I’m especially interested to see the interaction between Superman and Martian Manhunter. Judging by pictures, it looks like Superman and Martian Manhunter will have some tension. I’d prefer that they both be friends and relate to each other as visitors from another planet who have unique gifts.
Agreed. I’m hoping that the tension has more to do with Superman not being happy that MM is keeping Kryptonian tech within reach of the military or having Kara be so close to them.. something like that. Because J’onn didn’t indicate bad blood last season, so it would seem weird to be there “out of nowhere”.
But then again, Superman’s boots sure changed from last season, so who knows. lol
That costume really is terrible. Desperately needs the red trunks and the proper cape and belt.
Other than that, I’m still looking forward to this…. But the real suit needs to come back.
Funny, Kel. I consider myself a purist when it comes to the suit as well. But this may be the first one I’ve seen where ‘no trunks’ are okay.
Awesome photos! Been a Superman fan for over 50 years and IMHO the costume for Superman IS SUPER. Cannot wait for the second season of Supergirl! “Up Up and Away!” 😉
I don’t know what kind of an actor Tyler Hoechlin is, so I guess I can’t judge his performance yet … But, oh my God, that suit is bad! How could they get it so wrong, when they managed to get Kara’s look so right???
Still looking forward to watching, though.
