JUSTICE LEAGUE: INJUSTICE FOR ALL. FAQ version 2. BY: FF TLSOK (fftls0k@aol.com). Last Update: 10/29/2003. ************************* CONTENTS. I: Introduction. II: Characters. III: Controls. IV: Items. V: Levels. VI: Mini Bosses. VII: Big Bosses. VIII: Many Thanks. IX: Legal Stuff. ************************* I. INTRODUCTION. The proud legacy of action/ adventure side scrollers lives on! Once the role was held by such games as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Double Dragon, Final Fight, Mario, Megaman, and many others. In this day and age, you can only find such games on the Game Boy Advance (and the occasional Playstation game, such as Megaman X 4-6). Now, Midway has brought the Justice League back into the 2-D side-scrolling genre for the Game Boy Advance. And they have done a terrific job. But the challenge can run high. And that is why this guide exists. The story begins when Superman and Wonder Woman head to Metropolis to fight off an attack initiated by a legion of robots. But that is only the beginning... ************************* II: CHARACTERS. SUPERMAN: The infant Kal-El was rocketed away from the dying planet by his parents. THE BATMAN: Bruce Wayne was but a child when he witnessed his parents brutal murder. GREEN LANTERN: John Stewart was chosen by the Guardians of the Universe to be the Earth's Green Lantern, alongside the Kyle Rayner. It is unknown how long John has been a Lantern, but his experience is tremendous. He is also calculated with his job, prone to take command if need be. His L Button special ability is an energy shield that temporarily protects him from harm. First Appearance: (Green Lantern) Superman the Animated Series- Brightest Day, (John Stewart) Justice League- Secret Origins Part 1. THE FLASH: Wally West was just an average guy when he was coated in chemicals after a freak storm accident. The lightning charged chemicals changed Wally, allowing him to reach speeds unknown to any man. He is now the Flash, the fastest man alive. Flash may be quick to humor, but his peers trust him. His L Button special ability is super speed, allowing him to pass through harmful items and enemies with no damage taken. It also allows the player to scale walls. First Appearance: Superman the Animated Series- Speed Demons. MARTIAN MANHUNTER: J'Onn J'Onzz is the last of his race, as the Martians were long ago wiped out by warlike shape changing aliens. He has come to Earth and assumed a semi-human form, using his powers in the service of the Justice League. His L Button special ability is to turn intangible temporarily, so that he may take no harm and pass through certain walls. First Appearance: Justice League- Secret Origins Part 1. HAWKGIRL: Not much is known about Hawkgirl, save for she was an officer of the law on the world known as Thanagar and her true name is Shayera Hol. Now she fights for the law with her teammates in the Justice League. Her L Button special ability is an attack involving her electrified mace. First Appearance: Justice League- Secret Origins Part 1. Finally, with the Justice League's help, Superman shut Luthor down and exposed him for the criminal he really was. Now, Luthor is a criminal mastermind no longer confined by his ruse of public businessman. And he is more dangerous then every before. Also, Luthor is slowly dying from Kryptonite poisoning, an irony even he, a renowned sadist, cannot enjoy. His time is short, his image no longer a concern. Two elements that make him more deadly then ever. First Appearance: (Lex) Superman the Animated Series- The Last Son of Krypton Part 2 (Armor) Justice League- Legends Part One. THE JOKER: Jack Napier was once a failed comedian in Gotham until a fateful encounter with the Batman caused Napier to fall into a chemical bath. His body was changed by the chemicals, making him appear as a smiling clown permanently. Napier's psyche cracked and he integrated himself into the underworld as the Joker. First Appearance: Batman the Animated Series- Joker's Favor. THE ULTRA HUMANITE: Little is known about Ultra, save for he may be a human mind transplanted into a white gorilla's body. STAR SAPPHIRE: A mysterious new villain on the scene with powers similar to the Green Lantern rings. First Appearance: Justice League- Fury Part One. The women was transformed into a creature know known as the Cheetah. First Appearance: Justice League- Injustice for All Part One. SOLOMON GRUNDY: Grundy is known only as an invulnerable beast, with little intelligence to back up his massive strength. Still, you'd be hard pressed to find a member of the underworld who wouldn't want Grundy under his thumb. First Appearance: Justice League- Fury Part One. THE SHADE: A mysterious founding member of the original Injustice Gang, the Shade could control all manners of darkness, whether to hide himself or encompass others. First Appearance: Justice League- Fury Part One. FELIX FAUST: Faust was once a professor at a Metropolis University. That was until his thirst for the occult led him onto a dark path. A dark path that led him to fight the Justice League. It is currently unknown how Faust survived the death given to him by the dark god Hades. First Appearance: Justice League- Paradise Lost Part One. ALIENS: A group of aliens who were once driven from Earth by the Justice League, they have seemingly returned. Could Lex be behind this? Fly up and to the left to enter another area. Head down and enter the building. Use the teleporter to reach the extra life. Then go back to the area with the blocked off subway. Destroy the debris in your way and enter the subway. Head right, dealing with the robots and collecting all the Justice League Icons on the platforms. Leave the subway through the exit in the top right hand corner. Now head right and destroy the robot so that you may collect the Keycard to enter LexCorp. Go in and collect the necessary items you may need, including a Character Restore. Then enter the elevator. Several robots will break through the glass wall. Destroy them quickly and exit the elevator once it stops. Once out, destroy the Mind Control HUB and enter the adjacent room. See LMS-757 under the Big Bosses section. GETAWAY: As soon as the level starts, you will be fighting the Big Boss. See Escape Craft under the Big Bosses section. THEMYSCIRA: Enter the first building you see and head to the right to enter a door. Go past the ceiling traps and fall down the hole. Once you land, head left and collect the Keycard. Go back whence you came. Once outside, take flight and go to the roof of the next building. Go up to find a secret area. Once you've collected the Justice League Icons, head down to go back. Head to the next building and enter it. Head right and enter the door. Do so again in the next corridor. Continue going right, watching for falling stalactites. Hit the switch and continue going right. Go to the next door and you'll be outside once more. Check the skies for items and you'll find a Character Restore in the upper right hand corner. Defeat the enemy below you to gain a Keycard. Enter the nearby door. Go right, entering the doors. See Felix Faust under the Big Bosses section. Go through the now open door and destroy the Mind Control HUB. GOTHAM WAREHOUSE DISTRICT: Go right, destroy the barrier and enter the sewer. Collect all the Justice League Icons and avoid the bombs. Exit the way you came and go left. Enter the building and climb the stairs and the platforms, avoid all Health items, as they float dangerously close to acid filled dumpsters that will kill both your characters at once. Thanks, Joker. Flash's L button move can take you up the walls, as can Batman's wall jump. Avoid the bombs here as well. Leave the building via the upper right had corner door. Outside, cross the roofs, ducking to avoid any of Joker's blimp bombs. Jump to the right off the third roof, collecting the Character Restore on the way down if you need it. Keep in mind, this is your only chance to snag it. On the ground, battle the giant clown duck robot by staying close and pounding away with the normal B button attacks. You should back away when it is defeated, as the robot will cause a damaging explosion. Collect the Keycard it leaves behind and enter the door up on the stairs to your right. Jump over the bomb and the trap door as you head left. Climb the platforms and ride the 'elevator' to reach another platform. Destroy the box there to gain an extra life. Head up to the top left hand corner via the platforms, 'elevators' and the wrecking ball presented before you. Go outside the visible door and collect the Keycard. Go back inside and head to the bottom floor to leave the same way you came in. Enter the other building you passed earlier. Head right and jump on the 'jumper' to reach the higher levels. Go right to get another extra life. Then head left and use yet another 'jumper' to get higher. Use the Flash's L button move to ascend the boxes. Jump right and again use the L button move to pass the spikes. Use the jumper you see to reach an "elevator." You will come upon three more 'elevators.' Use them to reach the top right hand corner's platform. Head left and destroy the Mind Control HUB. Go back to the bottom floor and enter the newly opened door. See the Joker under the Big Bosses section. ISLAND VOLCANO: Head left, timing your passing of the mini lava eruptions to conserve health. In the next room, head left once more, until you reach the lava 'waterfall.' Head up and left into a cavern and collect the Keycard. Go back to the lava fall and go down to the next cavern on the right. Enter the door and destroy the Mind Control HUB. Go back once more to the lava fall. Go down and to the left to the next cavern and enter its door. Head down the three floors presented to you, avoiding the robots, falling stalactites and spikes. Defeat the enemy at the bottom running around to deactivate the force field on the right. Go in and collect the Keycard. Now head back to the lava fall. Go down and to the left. Enter the door and go straight up, collecting the Character Restore if needed. Use the Martian Manhunter's L button move to phase through the ceiling to find a switch. Hit it, phase out of the room, and go back to the lava fall. There, switch off your flying and fall into the lava pool. It is not suicide. You will find a room full of Justice League Icons. Once you've collected them, go back up and to the bottom right cave coming off the lava fall. Head through the door and to the right, avoiding all the dangers. After a few corridors you will confront the Big Boss. See Star Sapphire under the Big Bosses section. ROBOTICS MANUFACTURING FACILITY: Head right, going through two doors. Then proceed to head left to passing one door for the second one. Go up the platforms and destroy the visible Mind Control HUB. Go back and enter the door you previously passed. Then go to the door on the far right and use Flash or Martian Manhunter's L button move to get past the spikes. Continue going right and defeat the gold enemy to disable the force field and collect the Keycard. Go back a little and use Martian Manhunter's flight or the "jumper" to get up higher. You'll find a Character Restore. Go through the door at the top left and collect the Justice League Icons. Go back to the room with the two fires you had to jump or fly over and go through the middle door, now opened. Go up the floors and "elevators" and enter the door you will find. Now use Martian Manhunter's L button move to phase through to the second floor and collect an extra life. Phase out at the floor's other end and proceed to the door on the right. Fly or use the "elevators" to get over the chasm. You will find the Shade in the next room. See the Shade under the Big Bosses section. ROSWELL LANDING: Here you will meet your toughest enemy thus far- the Aliens. Their blasters can take off up to a third or fourth of your health in one shot. Go right through the door and use Martian Manhunter's L button move to phase through the floor's spikes to find a secret room containing Justice League Icons and a door. Go through it and jump to down the shaft on the right side. When you fall into the next room, go right and then up the stairs, collecting the extra life. You will find a yellow and black wall. Use Martian Manhunter's L button move to phase through it and collect another extra life. Phase out of the room and take the 'elevators' to the top left corner of the room and activate the switch. Now, go back to the middle 'elevator' and go up to the right side and enter the door. Go down and then all the way to find another door. Collect all the Justice League Icons and yet another extra life. Go back and through the far door and jump over the pit. Activate the switch and go back to the previous room. Head left through the new door. Proceed left through two rooms and jump down to the bottom of the next. You will find a Character Restore. Go right and use Martian Manhunter's L button move to phase through the ceiling and collect the items there. Leave via the L button move and go right, jumping over the pits. Exit out the right door. Use the "elevators" and the platforms to make it to the top left hand corner door. Go outside. See Alien Walker under the Bosses section. Destroy the Mind Control HUB and go back to the previous room. From here, goo to the bottom floor and use the hidden teleporter on the right side. Proceed through the right door to find the Big Boss. See Space Craft under the Big Bosses section. THE CRYPT: Go right several rooms. You will find the Mini Boss. See Cheetah under the Mini Bosses section. Go right to the next room. Head up the platforms to find a Character Restore. Go through the door. Go down, then left, then down again, and finally right to find another door. Go up to the middle right door. Follow the corridor to another door. Go in and destroy the Mind Control HUB there. Go back to the two rooms. Enter the top right hand corner door. Collect the extra life you will find. Go back and down the previous room. Exit through its door. Run through the fire eruptions and falling stalactites using Green Lantern's L button move. Go through the door and then through the following right door. You will confront Solomon Grundy. See Solomon Grundy under the Big Bosses section. JUNGLES OF THAILAND: Go left, dealing with enemies and jumping over pits. At the end, fall down the square hole to enter the base. Once inside, destroy the Mind Control HUB, then use the teleporter. After that is complete, go to the bottom floor and use one of the heroes L button moves to collect the extra life in the spikes. Go out the door on your right. Defeat the enemy in the room to get a Keycard that will open the far right door. Go to the next right door over the two staircases, then go through the door on the in the next room's bottom left hand corner. You will get an extra life. Go to the left door to confront the Big Boss. See the Cheetah under the Big Bosses section. INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION: Use the 'elevators' and platforms to reach the top left hand corner door. After passing through it, go right and defeat the silver guard to lower the force field. Go to the top middle door. Go right along the next few platforms, then take a ride up on the "elevator" and take a ride on a wrecking ball to the left. Climb the platforms and then head right. Take the next "elevator" to the door. Go right, destroy the small wall to enter a room with an extra life. Go back and ride the 'elevator.' Go to the top room to flip the switch. Proceed back down and ride the wrecking ball over to the left. Use the teleporter. On the other side, use the "elevators" to get to a switch in the top left area. Flip it and head down, now using the "elevators" to reach the top right area, which will take you to the Big Boss. Ultra Humanite under the Big Bosses section. SKIES OF METROPOLIS: Stay to the right side of the screen, quickly destroying any debris, missiles or air fighters that come your way. Not much else to it, really. Eventually, the boss will appear. See Air Craft under the Big Bosses section. MOON BASE: Welcome to the final, and hardest, level of the game. All the enemies found here are the cream of the crop. The toughest enemies you have previously faced are all gathered here, and there is a difficult Mini Boss waiting in the wings. And at the end, Lex Luthor is waiting with not one, but two Big Bosses for you to face. Still yourself, and enter the final battle. As soon as the final level starts, go left and enter the door. Go up the stairs and floors to reach the top left hand corner door. From there, go right until you reach the four-door staircase room. Take the top left door and go through the corridor to find an extra life. Go back to the staircase room. This time, take the top right door to find a switch. Hit it and return to the staircase room. Now take the bottom left door. Go down the hall until you reach a large room. Jump to the bottom floor and head right. After the door, fly/ jump over the pit and enter the next door. Head for the first floor door and get the Keycard. With that item taken care of, go back to the previous room you came from. Go to the lowest floor and head for the door. Head right and drop to the floor below. Go to the high left door, found right under the flooring of the top floor. Head right and you will find the Mini Boss. See Alien Pod under the Mini Bosses section. Once it is defeated proceed to the right and destroy the massive laser gun as you would a Mind Control HUD. Go back to the big room and head all the way to the right. Fly/ wall jump up the shaft to get a Character Restore. Head left and enter the bottom left door. Head left until you come upon the Big Boss. See Ubermech under the Big Bosses section. Once it is destroyed, Lex Luthor will make his presence known. After a brief conversation, the final showdown will begin. See Lex Luthor under the Big Bosses section. ************************* VI: MINI BOSSES. ALIEN WALKER: Use jumping B attacks on its "head." THE CHEETAH: Just go in close and pound away, but be ready to receive some minor damage. ALIEN POD: Keep your distance, nailing it with heat vision and batarangs. Time your attacks well, as it is momentarily invincible after a hit. ************************* VII: BOSSES. LMS-757: For a first boss, it can be a pain in the neck to beat it. Your best bet is to start the fight as Superman and fire heat vision from afar. You'll run out, but the mech won't be able to dish out enough damage to knock out both Superman and Wonder Woman when you go hand-to-hand with it. To avoid its attacks if absolutely necessary, take to the air until it is safe to land and attack once more. ESCAPE CRAFT: Lex's escape craft is an easy boss. Just stay close to it and pound away with punches and kicks. Being close will also force any missiles you dodge to hit the craft. FELIX FAUST: Thanks to his magic powers, Faust can move around the screen on many levels, forcing you into flight. You should start off with Hawkgirl and use your L button mace to soften Faust up for normal B attacks. THE JOKER: The Joker is no laughing matter. He's rather quick and has some nasty bombs. To prevent that, I suggest using Flash's charged up B attack to your fullest advantage or at least stay up close and personal with your B attacks. STAR SAPPHIRE: Another flyer, you'll also have to take flight to get her. No matter whom you start with, activate your L button super power to be temporarily invulnerable. You can take out at least two-thirds of her health before you are vulnerable again. THE SHADE: The Shade doesn't do much physical damage, but he can teleport around the room's platforms, making the screen go pitch black each time. You'll have to be on your toes to catch him. Martian Manhunter's flight makes it easier to get to the higher platforms. B attacks when in close are the best bet in this fight. Martian Manhunter's L power is also quite useful here. SPACE CRAFT: Take flight as Martian Manhunter and activate your L power to be invulnerable. Wail away on the ship with the B button, charged or normal. If you have lost the Manhunter by this point, jumping B attacks from Batman are also effective. SOLOMON GRUNDY: A big brute, you'd be better to keep your distance. Use Green Lantern's charged B attack when afar and jump over Grundy when he comes close, taking a B attack shot from behind. As Green Lantern, activate your L power as soon as the fight starts to get some cheap close shots in. Look out for falling stalactites. THE CHEETAH: Just go in close and pound away, but be ready to receive some damage. Once more, Green Lantern's L power comes in handy. As does Flash's charged B attack. THE ULTRA HUMANITE: Start off as Hawkgirl and use your L attack while the Ultra Humanite wanders on the right side platform. When he comes down, back off and use Batman's L batarangs and only use close combat when necessary. AIR CRAFT: Very easy boss. Just use heat vision from afar, and finish it off with Hawkgirl's L attack. UBERMECH: You'd think having all five League members would make this easy, but not really. You can dodge most of the lethal attacks by staying down and just punching away. You wouldn't really need Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter's L powers while doing this. LEX LUTHOR: Start off with Green Lantern and move back and fly. When Lex flies, use your charged B attack to blast him. This should lower his health considerably. You can also use Superman's heat vision here as well. Go in with either Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter and use your L powers to avoid damage, as Lex's electricity attack is an instant kill for a Leaguer. You can also use Superman if you want, as he appears to do more damage with normal B attacks against Lex. ************************* VIII: MANY THANKS. I would just like to thank Midway and its staff for programming and publishing this game; DC Comics and Warner Bros. for publishing the Justice League characters; Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster for creating Superman; Bob Kane and Bill Finger for creating Batman; and all those who have worked on the adventures of the heroes and villains of the DC universe since their humble beginnings in 1938, from Dan Jurgens to Jeph Loeb to Jim Lee to Dale Eaglesham to Tom Grummett to John Byrne to Jack Kirby to Stan Lee to M.D. Bright and etc. etc. The list goes on and on with talent. ************************* IX.
