I don’t understand why they couldn’t just straighten the New 52 character out. As I recall when the New 52 started it was to focus on a younger Superman that would mature and develop into the Man of Steel we all know. I was looking forward to that whole love triangle type dynamic between Superman Clark and Lois that eventually leads to a relationship. I was looking forward to re-building the dynamics between Superman and his rogue gallery. I think it was a missed opportunity and don’t like how they just went down this rabbit hole they couldn’t get out… Read more »

Because nearly no one liked that Superman. He lost most of his current fan base and the newcomers weren’t enough to replace what they lost. They also have the Man of Steel and BvS movies versión that is quite close to N52 and the bad reception they got from that Supes compared to the Convergence stories from Superman: Lois and Clarc (pre N52 versions) that were extremely praised by (nearly) EVERYBODY made them change their mind. Now, all the people that stopped buying Superman comics are back and added to the new ones that came during N52 era. Most of… Read more »

I agree with LJ. There was a lot that I found intriguing about this younger, brasher Superman – especially in the Grant Morrison run on Action Comics. But I liked the new uniform, I liked the relationship with Wonder Woman (which was LONG overdue, but should’ve been followed through to its natural end). There was potential there – sadly,… Read more »

It’s a pretty great looking statue, but the price?!?!?! (By the way, this article really SHOULD mention how expensive it is.) Blows my mind that anyone would spend $750 on something like this: it’s not a freaking Michelangelo …

Nice statue! The New 52 costume looks nice in 3D.

The shape and lines of the New52 boots actually look a lot better IMO in some cosplays I’ve seen than on the page because it’s basically a red leather boot with detailing as opposed to something rendered as shinny and armored.
