November 30, 2016: Will Power Girl Appear on “Supergirl”?

power-girl-supergirl-214406Earlier this week Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg participated in a Q&A with reporters after a screening of the three-episode “Invasion” crossover, where he was asked about the possibility of Power Girl being included in future episodes of the “Supergirl” TV series.

Now for those who aren’t aware, in the comic books Power Girl is another Kara from an alternate Earth.

Andrew said, “We hadn’t discussed it formally, but I think that certainly after these three episodes, there’s literally no limit to the things that we could do. There’s still an endless treasure trove of DC Comics characters, and stories, and titles that we haven’t even come close to touching yet. We’re certainly not wanting for ideas for the future. We know that they’re out there for us.”

The writers could also have some fun with the alternative universe she comes from – would they go with an idealized, old-fashioned world with an older Superman, like the Silver Age Earth 2? Or with the universe devastated by Darkseid, where Superman sacrificed his… Read more »

I loved Amanda Conner’s take on PG. It was a fun read and never took itself too seriously. Nearly all the other versions characterized her as too angry (was gonna use the “B” word but this is not the proper forum for that, apt though it may be).
