Lois Lane's House

August 28, 2009: Lois Lane's Sydney House For Sale

The house where Lois Lane lived in the movie "Superman Returns" is on the market.

The five bedroom home in Sylvania Waters in Sydney, Australia is likely to fetch around AU$5 million. Owners Paul and Loretta Touzel remember the movie production fondly...

"When the movie was in production, we met all the crew, the director Bryan Singer and Kate Bosworth.

"Our youngest son was happy to discover that Kate used to nap in his bed between takes."

Producers of the film searched high and low across Sydney Harbour to find an abode that was suitable as the home of Lois Lane and her son, but found nothing.

On a whim, they headed south to Sylvania Waters, the suburb made famous by the iconic serious of the same name, where many of the homes are built on artificial islands.

And it was on James Cook Island that their prized discovery was made.

"They saw our place and thought it would be perfect so they literally just came and knocked on the door," Mrs Touzel said. "It was almost hard to believe at first."

While they were offered alternate luxury accommodation, the family chose to stay and see the action unfold within the comforts of their living room.

"We have the DVD with all the stills where the house is featured. It was such a memorable experience to have in your own home," Mr Touzel said.
