WizardUniverse.com has posted an interview with writer Dan Jurgens to discuss "Tangent: Superman's Reign" and his on-going "Booster Gold" title. Here's a portion of the interview...
- Since the start of the series, we've been given history lessons about the Tangent Earth via back-up stories starring Jennifer Hayden and "Guy Gardner." Will the back-ups feed into the larger tapestry of the narrative at story's end? If so, any teases?
JURGENS: Funneling the backup stories into the front story would have made for an awkward time dynamic. We talked about it at one point but we generally needed a timeline where the front stories occurred before a lot of the main action took place.
The situation looks pretty grim with the Tangent Ultra-Humanite unleashed on the piece's heroes. What hints would you give about the conclusion to this year-long odyssey?
JURGENS: Not many! Why give away the end of the story?
Yes, the situation does look bleak and grim, but the seeds of victory may well have been planted.
Has there been any talk yet about a return to Tangent Earth after Superman's Reign wraps?
JURGENS: We've had a couple of general conversations about some broad ideas but nothing specific. I have thought it would be fun to have the DCU Booster travel to the Tangent world at some point, however.
