Four Horseman #1

August 28, 2007: Keith Giffen Talks “Four Horsemen”

WizardUniverse.com has published an interview with writer Keith Giffen who discusses the six-issue series "52 Aftermath: The Four Horsemen". Here's an excerpt from the interview...

Q: First off, can you give us a little background on the Four Horsemen and where this story fits in the 52 storyline?

GIFFEN: Well, the Four Horsemen were introduced in 52, and as everyone is aware by now, I was the breakdown guy [for that series]. They were created specifically to go against Black Adam and kill his family, but while they were interesting characters and pretty cool creations, they were pretty much story devices. So DC called me and asked, "Four Horsemen... are you interested? We'll give you Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman." The first thought that went through my head was, "Okay, 52 was the year without them, now let's see what happens when they're there and they're facing down something that came out of 52."
