May 31, 2006: Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con

The much anticipated Wizard World Philadelphia, the annual, family-friendly pop culture extravaganza, is once again coming to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from June 2-4. Over 25,000 attendees are expected over the three-day event that will explore the worlds of comics, cards, toys, anime, manga, gaming, and more, as well as some of the biggest stars in comics, film and television.

Heading up this year's guest list is Guest of Honor Jim Lee, acclaimed comic book artist of Superman, Batman, and X-Men, and many others, who will be signing autographs, hosting a question and answer session, creating original sketches for fans, and announcing the winner of the WildStorm Talent Search. Special guests include screenwriter and film director Kevin Smith (Clerks 2, Chasing Amy); Marvel Comics' Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada; legendary comic book artist John Romita Sr (The Amazing Spider-man); actress Erica Durance, (Smallville); actor David Palffy (Stargate SG-1); and writer Geoff Johns, courtesy of Spike TV's upcoming Blade television series.

Additional guest appearances will be made by actor Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk) and actress Noel Neill (Lois Lane, The Adventures of Superman).

Many notable comic book artists, writers and creators will also be in attendance, including: Adam Kubert (Action Comics), Andy Kubert (Batman), Josh Middleton (Superman/Shazam: First Thunder), Rags Morales (Detective Comics), Jimmy Palmiotti (Jonah Hex) and others.
