Newspaper Prop

March 27, 2003: Superman Movie Items on Auction

Cooper Owen auctions are holding a "At The Movies" auction on April 10th which will contain lots of Superman and Supergirl related items (20 in total).

Commission bids can be placed on the Cooper Own website now. The auction will culminate with a live event at 23 Denmark Street, London on the 10th April at 4pm BST. Bids can also be placed online at eBay.

Here is a list of the Superman and Supergirl items up for auction:

  • Lot 253:
    Daily News newspaper from 'Superman', 1978
    A prop copy of the Daily News paper with the headline look ma - no wires! featuring a large picture of Superman flying over the city.

  • Lot 254:
    Original concept drawings and storyboards from 'Superman', 1978
    Original drawings featuring Jor-El (played by Marlon Brando) together with production notes, camera instructions and photocopied details of his eyes, etc. together with a storyboard featuring the Fortress of Solitude sequence and a small clear cast crystal from the Fortress set.
