July 21, 2002: Women Vote for Superman Over Batman!
By now you've all read about the up-coming movie "Batman vs Superman", well Date.com put the vote to their members to see who would win a fight for their hearts... guess who won? :)The Press Release sent out by Date.com was titled "Batman vs Superman? Date.com Women Choose the Man of Steel", here's the complete report...
TORONTO, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Press reports out of Hollywood say that Warner Bros. is moving forward with plans for a "Batman vs Superman" film in which the two superheroes battle each other, but who would win in a fight for the hearts of women?
Date.com, a leading online dating site, asked its female members that very question and found that Superman, the Man of Steel, would have the biggest cheering section. In an e-mail poll conducted July 12-15, Date.com asked its female members if, "in a fight for your heart," they would choose Superman, Batman or "neither, I'd choose Spiderman."
Superman was the preferred choice, garnering 38 percent of the 1,666 votes cast. Batman was chosen by 31 percent, the same number who said they'd like to see Spiderman -- no doubt aided by his recent theatrical release -- emerge victorious.
Seems that Lois Lane was on to something.
