Quick! Action Figures

January 3, 2002: Belgium/France Restaurant Figures - Update!

As reported back in December, a range of DC Comics character figures are available at "Quick!" restaurants in Belgium and France. Most have articulated arms and legs (at elbows, knees and ankles) and good sculpting. Following is an excerpt and images from a review by Iron Cow Productions in regards to this line of figures...

Wow. If American fast food restaurants offered figures like these, I might actually darken the door of a McDonald's for food. Simply put, the fast food toys we're used to do not hold a candle to these. The largest is 8 inches tall, some feature as many as 11 points of articulation, the likenesses are reasonably accurate, and the construction is solid.

Quick! Superman Action Figure Supes is a whopping 7.75 inches tall and counts 11 points of articulation. The pose is moderately stiff, but the numerous joints make for great play value. His cape is a reasonable length and is attached accurately. The chest emblem and boot lines are etched on. The only real drawback is the face. I'm not sure who this is. It might be the whites of the eyes are painted in, thowing off the look. Supes' eyes should be simple black dots. Perhaps if I repaint the eyes he'll come together.
