Scotty, you’re completely right. Lois will always be a damsel in distress. Having Superman at her side means she will take much higher risks than she would otherwise. And of course being so close to him she will be used by villains to reach Supes, like in the BvS movie. It’s not that the writers make her the damsel in distress. It is her herself that does and she has won several prizes (at Superman’s expenses) because of that. Thanks for watching and commenting kal-bert! I think it comes down to the portrayal. On L&C for instance, of course Superman saved Lois countless times, but Lois also saved him and had tons of other character development moments and plotlines she was involved in. On that show, for example, because they had 4 years of 20 episodes a year, Lois was a fully fleshed out hero/character in her own right. The same can be said of Lois on Smallville.
