July 3, 2016: Welcome to the New Superman Homepage!

main-bannerWelcome to the new-look Superman Homepage! The website not only has a new design, but it has been completely rebuilt using a new system.

The new, modern design and layout isn’t the only upgrade to the Superman Homepage website. We’ve also incorporated a more user-friendly experience for fans.

While our news updates are displayed in a more concise layout, the news posts themselves now include many of the features you’ve been asking for. The ability to comment on news items is as you’d expect, but you can now also reply to comments, and receive notifications when people reply to your comments. You can also Like or Dislike a news post, and more easily share information across numerous Social Media platforms.

There’s one small catch. Migrating from our old system to this new system will require a little effort on your behalf. Your account has been imported. We just need you to reset your password.

Please enter your Superman Homepage Username or your Email Address in the YOUR PROFILE form on the right side of this page, and then click the “Forgot your password?” link beneath the Login and Register buttons. Follow the steps as prompted to select a password, and you’ll soon be up and running with your updated Superman Homepage account.

If you don’t have an existing account or the site doesn’t recognize your username or email address, then feel free to create a new account. You can also register using your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ account to simplify the process.

We’re really excited about this new era for the website and hope you’ll help spread the word about the updated design and new features.

Unfortunately comments posted in the previous system are unavailable. We will no longer be operating a Forum/Message Board, but we have removed some of the clutter and think you’ll agree that the site is now better for the changes we’ve made.

We’ll still bring you all the news, reviews and information you’ve come to expect from the No. 1 Superman fansite in the world! We’ll just be able to do it better and faster!

Enjoy!

It looks pretty, it looks user-friendly and it’s surprisingly less resource-draining than the old layout. So, all in all, pretty damned good job Steve & Co!

I will miss the message board, though. For us the veterans, it’s the end of an era. It’d be nice to still have a place for discussion outside of commenting on news pieces (a message board is a better community-building tool as well), but considering how little activity it had seen in the last five years, I can’t fault you guys for booting it.

Yeah, the message boards are what kept me very much engaged with this websites community. It’s a shame to see it go, but in all honesty, they were a ghost town. Most members would post on the news items comment sections anyway. I love the like and dislike options, and the ability to share our posts anywhere. I think this will be a big boon for the site. It also looks like, that with the enhanced news section, the threat of spoilers in the title will be nonexistent and the members will know NOT to click if they don’t want… Read more »

Heh, I thought I was the only one watching my modern gaming PC struggle to load that dingy old site from 1999. If nothing else, the redesign was worth it for that alone. I can pin the Homepage in the browser now.

My first reaction is I am liking the new layout. Been a member for 10 years at a least. Each time its better and better.

Love the new layout. It looks clean, and while I’ve been a visitor for years and even had an account, I hardly ever used it. So I created a new one to welcome a new age in the page.

It’s a very nice design. Anything new takes some getting used to, of course, but I like it. Keep up the good work, Steve!

I’m so sorry BM! I accidentally clicked on the minus box and I ended up giving you a -1 rate, even though I do agree with your comment. I gave you a thumbs up though to even things out. 🙂

I love the new layout. The redesign looks great and I love the fact that we can like/dislike posts and comments and the reply-email notification is a great addition.

I couldn’t transfer my old account (because I can’t remember the old email address I used to set it up all those years ago and I don’t think I have access.) But really, it’s not a problem to create a new one.

I just love the new site and the look.

I’m digging the new SmHP so far! I’ve been wanting the “Like” and “DisLike” button for years now. I Love that the News “Types” are separated as well. I dont really follow the TV articles, so now I dont have to sift thru them to get to my movie news and comic news. Brilliant.

I am sad to see the forum go. I’ve tried over the years to post topics in there, but it would be weeks before somebody replied. I’ve always found that to be rather odd.

I’m liking the new site redesign and newer features but I do miss the ease of seeing any new news right when you visit the site. I know it was image heavy but having the most recent news right from the start was nice (made it very easy to read/view the newest articles). My understanding of web design is; the fewer the user has to click to get to the media they want the better. With that, and from what I mentioned above, I know there is a page on here that list all the newest news from all the… Read more »

Hi Steve, To be honesty, I didn’t think anyone would really respond to my comment. Thank! 🙂 With that, I see what you are saying, I think I and everyone will get use to it over time, but it did throw me way off when I first saw the change, got really confused and thought I would have to “search” for the news I normally read. I wounder (if this makes since) if it would have been possible to have a video or a short flash site that went over the changes/layout to help guide everyone from the old site… Read more »
