July 26, 2016: Exclusive “Superman” Interview with Peter Tomasi and Pat Gleason

Superman Homepage reporter Luis Jaime was granted an exclusive interview with “Superman” co-writers Peter Tomasi and Pat Gleason during San Diego Comic-Con to sit down and ask them about the “Rebirth” era, the new Superman costume design, and their thoughts on the character’s motivations and situation.

Luis Jaime explains, “I had the honor to sit down with the creative team behind SUPERMAN: Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason. They are the nicest people I’ve ever interviewed. I can tell they love SUPERMAN as much as I do, and their enthusiasm towards the character really makes this book special. I look forward to many exciting stories. I can honestly say that SUPERMAN is in good hands.”

Thanks to Luis Jaime for conducting and recording the interview.

And still NO ONE asks the question: “why the hell did you and/or DC have to kill off new52 Superman?” And don’t come with the “he was too broken” thing to me. The “truth” disaster was not the character’s fault.

I would’ve been fine with “Have we seen the last of the n52 Superman?”

I thought the interview was brilliant. With time constraints and such, I thought the interview was great. I love the idea of bringing Superman a little more back to the original in terms of hope, possibility, etc because that’s been lacking — in super heroes in general. Hats off to those brave enough to make change happen.

And thank you to the interviewer for getting us this interview.

Tomasi looks like he is aggravated and doesn’t wana be there. But Gleason looks excited to be interviewed, like maybe he actually loves his job. LoL.

Great questions! I liked the “grief-stricken” one best. 😉
