December 20, 2016: Zack Snyder Talks “Justice League” Chemistry – New Photo

Entertainment Weekly has released a new photo from the upcoming “Justice League” movie showing The Flash standing alongside Batman and Wonder Woman. In the article Zack Snyder also talks about the team dynamic between the characters.

“I’m super happy with the chemistry of my league of justice doers,” says director Zack Snyder, who’s in the middle of editing the November release.

Justice League will delve into the details of how these individual heroes readjust their egos to fight as a collective. Turns out, aligning these disparate – and outsized – personalities can be as difficult as fighting bad guys.

Take Ezra Miller’s version of the Flash, the league’s overly excitable kid brother who uses humor to mask his pain. “Flash is Ringo Starr,” says Miller, pictured here alongside allies the Dark Knight (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). “He annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone.”

“Justice League” will be released to theaters on November 17, 2017.

Apparently, Miller had something to say about Superman as well, but obviously, he’s gotta remained tight-lipped…

Got a feeling this is going to be more Batman and the Outsiders than it is The Justice League.

Well the story is about how Batman assembles and leads the Justice League against Steppenwolf’s invasion of Earth. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it was.

Agreed, Which is why I don’t quite get why Superman fans are so excited for this movie. As a comic fan, superhero fan, I get it. Lots to be excited about this iteration. But take those aspects away and simply as a Superman fan, you’ll probably be left with 10-15 minutes of screen time (If that) for Superman out of a 2 1/2 hour movie. (Yes, I’m guesstimating, but it’s based on some ample, albeit circumstantial, evidence) And having his body or name being a central point (if that’s the case) does not count as screen time) So 10-15 minutes… Read more »

I get that Batman is their cash cow, but if execs and writers/directors put time and effort towards another hero, that hero could be just as successful as Bats. I feel that the ‘batman is the breadwinner’ argument is such a tired and lazy excuse now. If BvS proved anything, it’s that including Batman does not guarantee a billion dollar hit. And Marvel has proven that time and effort in lower level heroes can result in success as well. Also not trying to be negative, I actually have hopes that they will course correct with this film, but I also… Read more »

“Flash is Ringo Starr”? This is not a compliment. Once, when asked whether Ringo was the best drummer in the world, John Lennon replied that he wasn’t even the best drummer in the band …

I actually like a lot of things about Snyder’s work, but he often says things in interviews that just don’t come across well. “League of justice-doers”? Wow.

I hope Zack gets a thesaurus for Christmas. I don’t know how many interviews I’ve heard or read that include several uses of the word ‘AWESOME’
