The Superman Homepage Indicator of Excellence in Literature and Design Awards

The voting booth for our 8th annual awards ceremony for the world of Superman has closed!

Voting began on November 3rd 2008 and ended midnight December 1st 2008.

The 2008 SHIELD Awards gave you, the fans, the opportunity to voice your opinions about comics with a 2008 cover date, Superman related TV shows, and Superman merchandise released in 2008.

Everyone who voted in the 2008 SHIELD Awards automatically went into the draw for a chance to win a $100 Gift Certificate from SupermanSuperstore.com.

There could only be one winner and that person is: David Goodman

The results have been forwarded on to DC Comics, Warner Bros. and the various winners. Congratulations to those creative people involved!

It's no surprise to see Geoff Johns win this award again in 2008. Last year his teaming with Richard Donner edged out Grant Morrison as the fan's favorite writer. This year he did it running solo and by a large margin.

They came in 2nd last year behind Steven S. DeKnight who no longer writes for the show.
