Lana Lang is still dying, but her powers are still needed as Lena Luthor is about destroying Lex Luthor's legacy, with extreme prejudice. Against Steel's protestations, Lana becomes Superwoman once more, but pays the price by issue's end.

0Story - ?: I review a lot of books. I've reviewed as many as six books in one week. It's rare that I find little or nothing about a title to comment on or critique. However, with this issue of Superwoman, I have crossed the rubicon into the realm that exists between apathy and atrophy. I don't care about Lana. I don't care about Steel. I've enjoyed both characters before, but Lana has morphed in a full blown ass, and Steel is an emasculated lamppost. I raised an eyebrow when I learned that Natasha Irons had a girlfriend, a female love interest. The mental Rolodex tried to recall if this was ever touched on before, but then I just dropped it because I do not care about it. ItÕs rare to be in the position of being thoroughly for, pro, gung ho for a book, and then to be brought to the point where the best feelings and thoughts that can be registered about the same can only be equivocal. What happened? The death of Lois Lane in issue one was a definite confidence breaker. However, it is the portrayal of Lana Lang in such a brusque and unlikeable manner that has truly tanked most of my hope for Superwoman. I don't care about the story because the lead has been made so globally unlikeable, that I cannot cheer for her or respect the supporting character that she disrespects. Better luck tomorrow.

5Art - 5: While the story is less, much less than desired, the art is a powerhouse of work. Such line work is the result of a consummate professional, and at least Superwoman has that much going for it.
