Lightning Lad and Bouncing Boy are returning from an SOS call in space.

All is well until a green glow flashes in their windscreen, a suspected attack by the Fatal Five proves to be something much worse - an attack by the Green Lantern Corps!

As quickly as they attack they vanish - leaving Chuck and Garth sore and immobilized in space. Radioing their colleagues in New Metropolis they relay that until the nanobots repair the Legion Cruiser they can't help.

Brainiac 5 and the team are puzzled, the Lanterns are heroic space police. Brainiac 5 skims over the Green Lantern history careful not to give away Superman's future dealing with them. Computo interrupts them with a warning that the GL's are heading straight for New Metropolis!

The core Legion members go to head them off and question their colleagues - what awaits them is a barrage of jade energy and a general butt kicking!

"You are in the way" is all the GL's seem able to respond with and even preoccupied they are able to crush the Legion. Superman amidst a beating yells for Superman to call in any Legionnaires in the vicinity to help.

Just as all seems lost in flies the back up!

Dream Girl,

Cosmic Boy,

Shrinking Violet,

Colossal Boy,

Phantom Girl,

Tyroc,

Element Lad,

Sun Boy,

Blok,

And Star Boy.

With the combined powers are able to slow down the Green Lanterns.

While held back, Saturn Girl is able to mind probe one of their adversaries, and then spreads the message to the rest of the Legion.

STAR CONQUERERS!

The vile beasts had managed to infect the entire corps and made themselves physically invisible with the power of Oa's rings.

Superman proves he's learnt how to focus his heat vision by cutting one of the Stars from the leaders face and the rest are quickly dispatched now the Legion know what to look for.

Before they can celebrate, Brainiac 5 realizes that the Star Conquerers' are tiny clones spawned by a parent Star and they were in the way of its arrival!

STARRO approaches and threatens to crush all of New Metropolis - enter Bouncing Boy and Lighting Lad with the newly repaired cruiser to crush the villain!

The Legion offer the Green Lantern Corps leader "Teen Lantern" membership and she refuses.

Its revealed that she's Jordana Gardner- the ancestor of two legendary Green Lanterns.

Before she can reveal more her sidekick Gen'ma, a panda lantern stops her for an introduction to his favorite hero - Superman!

Before the Corps leave Jordana tells the Legion though they won't be abandoning the Green Team they will always be on hand if the Legion need them.

Long Live the Green Lantern Corps!

Long Live the Legion!

5Story - 5: This was a great book!

Absolutely fantastic in terms of seeing it grow beyond the constraints of the show.

Loved it and yes though it's weak using story devises it still delivers stories you want to see and stories everyone can enjoy.

4Art - 4: As with last issue, the art is fantastic and accurate with the show's look and feel, less 'scribbly' than last issue. It seems the art is growing with each issue.

4Cover Art - 4: A fantastic introduction of Jordana Gardner, leader of the Green Lantern Corps. However this is a break from the themed covers and takes a little getting used to. Still its very sharp, eye catching and brightly colored. A nice addition to the cover gallery though it is sad that they abandoned the dynamisms of the previous issues!
