Just under three quarters of fans think that the Ultimate Edition is a better film than the theatrical release. That’s a pretty big endorsement for this extended cut of the film.

The ultimate cut isn’t an alternate cut, but the original cut before it was butchered.
It just shows WB made a horrible mistake, and Snyder actually did a good job bringing Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman together.
I really thought Batman v Superman was an awful movie. If I wasn’t such an avid Superman fan, I would have walked out of the theater – it was that annoyingly bad.
But I have to say, the Ultimate Edition changed my mind – somewhat. It’s still pretty weak and has lots of dopey moments in it, but at least it makes more sense.
The reasons behind the fight were rushed.
Batman was irrational, and Superman was not characterized in the manner we know.
The Ultimate Edition is only a bit better.
I have watched the Ultimate Cut a few times now since it came out. I must say, every time I watch it, I get something new from it. I think BvS has planted seeds that will flourish as the next lot of DCEU movies come out! Lex hates Superman because his father was abusive, and there was no Superman to save him… But what if that is what he was indoctrinated from the forces of Apokolips?
